Kazakhstan business and finance forums: the 2026 calendar

You fly to a forum to come back with meetings. You come back with a stack of business cards, half of which you cannot place a week later.

This page collects Kazakhstan's major business and finance forums: dates, cities, organisers, published scale and links to the official sites. One page instead of ten. Eleven events are listed below; each was checked against the organiser's own site or against business-press coverage. Where a source did not confirm a number, we say so rather than rounding it.

Verified 7 September 2026

Still ahead

As of 7 September 2026.

Astana Finance Days 2026

9–10 September 2026

“AFD 2026: Delivering Impact. Capital in Action” — the ninth edition.

Organiser
AIFC (Astana International Financial Centre)
City
Astana
Scale
5,500+ participants expected from 80+ countries. The 2025 edition drew 5,500 people from 82 countries and 160 speakers.
Event app
It has its own event app, published on both the App Store and Google Play. Per the store description it carries the agenda, speaker and attendee profiles, and meeting scheduling. The wording could not be re-confirmed first-hand — the store page returned a rate limit at the time of checking, so the feature list comes from a search snippet. The app's existence is corroborated by two independent store listings.

Announced and expected speakers named in the sources include representatives of BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, Bloomberg, HKEX, the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Binance, Mastercard and Telegram/TON.

10 February 2026

Not a conference but the exchange's business-breakfast format. Most recent confirmed edition.

Astana
Scale
Not a mass-attendance event: a business-breakfast format for private- and quasi-public-sector representatives and the exchange's partners, running since 2017.
Event app
No dedicated app was found in the sources checked.

The format rotates between cities: it has been held in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Aktobe, Tashkent, Minsk, Moscow and London.

The link points at the general KASE events index: the page for the February 2026 edition itself returned HTTP 404.

No attendance figure is stated in the sources found.

This is an intergovernmental EAEU summit rather than a finance-professional conference. It is listed here on the basis of scale; treating it as finance-adjacent is the research's own judgement, not the organiser's claim.

Astana Mining & Metallurgy (AMM) Congress 2026

11–12 June 2026

The sixteenth edition of the congress.

The exhibition company Iteca and ICA Events Group, with Kazakhstan's Ministry of Industry and Construction
City
Astana
Venue
Hilton Astana
Scale
About 1,500 delegates from 16 countries and 190+ speakers.
Event app
No dedicated app was found in the sources checked.

This is a mining-and-metals event, not a finance one. It is included as one of Kazakhstan's largest cross-industry investment gatherings, drawing banks and investors alongside miners — that framing is the research's judgement, not the organiser's claim.

Not confirmed

Two further events appeared in the sources but could not be confirmed against a second independent source. They are listed here precisely as unverified: “New Vision Forum 2026” (Almaty, reportedly 11–13 June 2026, per a city-akimat site) and the “NEXT MBA 2026” business forum (Almaty, reportedly 14 May 2026, per a ticketing site). Check them with the organiser before planning a trip.

How to leave a forum with meetings, not business cards

Six things that actually work.

Decide who you want to meet before you buy the ticket

Agendas and speaker lists are published in advance — Cbonds, for instance, puts out the agenda and participant lists as static PDFs. Build a list of five to ten specific names. “I'll go and see” is a hope, not a plan.

Write before you land

A short message with a specific hook — a session, a topic, a question — beats an approach at the coffee break, when the person has a cup in one hand and a queue behind them. Ask for fifteen minutes about something specific, not for “a chat”.

Agree a time and a place, not “we'll find each other”

“We'll find each other” almost always means you will not: a thousand people, three halls and no signal. Phrase it so the meeting cannot be missed — “day two, 11:40, by the registration desk”.

Use the event's own app where there is one

Astana Finance Days has its own app, with the agenda, attendee profiles and meeting scheduling. AI & Digital Bridge uses Astana Hub as its companion app — ticket and QR entry. Central Asia Fintech Summit offers a public Telegram group instead of an app. Cbonds Congress publishes agendas and participant lists as static PDFs. For the other six forums on this list, no app was found in the sources checked — you will be arranging things yourself.

Write the person down the same day

Not that evening at the hotel — right away: the name, what they do, what you agreed, what you promised to send. Three days later you will not recover it; the name and the company survive and everything else is gone. That is what we built PeersBridge for: scan the card, add private notes and tags, set a reminder for the follow-up you promised.

Send the follow-up within a week

Referring to what you agreed, and carrying what you promised. One email sent on time is worth more than a hundred cards in a desk drawer. If there is nothing to send, there was no meeting — there was an exchange of cards.

Frequently asked questions

When is Astana Finance Days 2026?

9–10 September 2026 in Astana. It is the forum's ninth edition, organised by the AIFC, the Astana International Financial Centre. More than 5,500 participants from over 80 countries are expected; the 2025 edition drew 5,500 people from 82 countries and 160 speakers. The official site is astanafindays.org.

Which 2026 business forums are held in Almaty?

In Almaty in 2026: the Central Asia Fintech Summit on 11 September at the Tselinny Center for Contemporary Culture; Kazakhstan Growth Forum'26 on 16 September at The Ritz-Carlton; the IX “Capital Markets Kazakhstan” conference by Cbonds Congress on 8 October; and the EDB annual meeting and business forum on 25–26 June, which has already taken place. In Astana the same year: Astana Finance Days on 9–10 September and AI & Digital Bridge on 1–3 October.

Do Kazakhstan's forums have their own attendee-matchmaking apps?

Astana Finance Days has its own app, published on both the App Store and Google Play; per the store description it carries the agenda, speaker and attendee profiles, and meeting scheduling. AI & Digital Bridge uses the Astana Hub app as its companion — for ticket activation and QR entry; no attendee-matchmaking feature is documented in the sources found. The Central Asia Fintech Summit has no app and points attendees to a public Telegram group instead. Cbonds Congress publishes agendas and participant lists as static PDFs. For the other six forums on this list no app was found in the sources checked — that is absence of evidence, not proven absence.

How do you arrange meetings before a forum?

One or two weeks out, build a list of five to ten people you actually want to talk to, from the published agenda. Write each of them a short message with a specific hook — a session, a topic, a question — and propose a specific time and place: “day two, 11:40, by the registration desk”. “We'll find each other” almost always means you will not. On the day, write the person down immediately: name, what they do, what you agreed, what you promised to send. Send the follow-up within a week.

Which major Kazakhstan forums in 2026 have already happened?

As of 7 September 2026 these have already been held: KASE Day in Astana on 10 February; Digital Qazaqstan in Shymkent on 27 March; the Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana on 28–29 May; Astana Mining & Metallurgy in Astana on 11–12 June; the XXII Eurasian Capital Markets Forum by Cbonds in Borovoe on 18–19 June; and the EDB annual meeting and business forum in Almaty on 25–26 June.

What is KASE Day?

It is the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange's business-breakfast format, running since 2017 for private- and quasi-public-sector representatives and the exchange's partners. It is not a mass-attendance conference. The format rotates between cities: it has been held in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Aktobe, Tashkent, Minsk, Moscow and London. The most recent confirmed edition was on 10 February 2026 in Astana.

So the forum does not end in a stack of cards

PeersBridge is a networking CRM for iPhone. Scan the card, add your own private notes and tags, set a reminder for the follow-up you promised — so the name still means something in a year.

Android is in development.

The app is free to download. Being matched, and joining events and activities, needs a subscription bought inside the app. Current prices and terms are on the App Store listing.

About the sources

Every date, city, organiser and figure on this page comes from an organiser's own site or from business-press coverage, checked on 7 September 2026. Three official pages were not directly reachable that day (Digital Bridge returned HTTP 403; the specific “Capital Markets Kazakhstan” edition page and the February “KASE Day” page returned HTTP 404) — where that is the case, the event's own card says so. Programmes change: check the official site before you travel.
